Love for the World

Love for the World

By

Arman Rashid

I didn’t always love the world.

It felt too loud, too fast, too cold.

People came and went so quick,

And kindness felt lost and weak.

But one morning, you held my hand,

And stopped by a blooming tree.

You smiled and said, "Look, it’s spring,"

And suddenly, the sky felt free.

There was room to breathe, to smile, to stay,

And I looked at you in a new way.

Not at the flowers, but at your face,

Where all the noise faded into grace.

You showed me how to slow things down-

How sunlight dances on the ground,

How an old man feeds birds with care,

How small things make the world rare.

One day, you laughed without a reason,

As the wind played with your hair in the season.

I asked, "Why do you love this life?"

You said, "Because it gives small gifts, not big piles."

At first, I didn’t understand,

But then I watched you- hand in hand.

You waved at strangers, picked up trash,

You listened, even when in a rush.

Slowly, a new feeling grew in me-

A soft love, naturally and free.

The world was still busy and loud,

But now I saw its beauty proud.

A little kindness, a little care,

A soft heart in a busy air.

You taught me love doesn’t have to be earned,

It can be given, simple and learned.

You loved the world like it was yours,

And through your eyes, it became mine too.

Now I stop, I breathe, I see,

And love this world, just like you.

Summary:  The poet didn’t always love the world; it felt loud,

fast, and cold. One morning, someone special held their hand and

showed them beauty. They learned to notice small things like trees,

sunshine, and kindness. The person laughed and loved life for the

small gifts it gave. At first, the poet didn’t fully understand this way

of seeing life. But by watching simple, caring acts, a soft love

grew inside them. The world was still busy, but now it felt more

beautiful and kind. The poet learned that love can be given freely

without expecting anything back. Through that person’s gentle

view, the poet also started loving the world. Now, they live with

more care, joy, and love for everything around them.
