They say that love must have a price,
A match made only if all looks nice.
But why should hearts be torn apart,
By class, by wealth, by rules so smart?
No faith on earth has ever taught,
That love be sold or peace be bought.
True faith speaks of mercy and grace,
Not walls we build or lines we trace.
Marriage, they say, is pure and true,
But we’ve made it hard to go through.
A bond once sacred, now confined-
To status, pride, and narrow mind.
But faith is clear, the words are bright-
If hearts align, then let it unite.
A man and woman, both sincere,
Should wed in truth, without the fear.
If love is clean, if hearts are sure,
Why make the pain so hard to endure?
I may be poor, but I believe,
That love, not wealth, will help me live.
If loving her is seen as wrong,
Then let me walk that path lifelong.
A life without her by my side,
Is one where joy would never hide.
No gold, no name, no rich degree,
Can judge the value of love I hold within.
We call it sin to love and try,
Yet prophets smiled when hearts could fly.
A hut with love is heaven made,
A mansion cold with hearts that fade.
So don’t just bow to every voice,
Sometimes the heart must make its choice.
