She Hides in Every Poem

She Hides in Every Poem

By

Arman Rashid

She hides in every poem I write,
A shadow soft, in morning light.
Not by name, not by face,
But in the calm of time and place.

She lives in lines I never plan,
Appears where only feeling can.
A word, a pause, a silent touch,
She’s everywhere, but never much.

She’s in the sighs between each word,
In thoughts too soft to ever be heard.
I speak of stars, of sky, of sea-
But all of them are really she.

Though she is gone, she’s never far,

She lives within each metaphor.
