Canto I
I found her by the
ocean’s song,
A quiet gaze where dreams
belong.
The world was vast, the
sea so wide,
Yet all I saw was pain
she’d hide.
She turned, and in her
graceful flight,
A glow remained, like
moon’s delight.
No diamond shone with
such pure grace,
Time paused to watch her
glowing face.
We met as strangers,
hearts unsure,
But slowly found a love
so pure.
Her laugh broke through
like springtime rain,
Unchained from sorrow’s
silent chain.
Together high, our
spirits flew,
Beneath the moon’s
embracing hue.
Canto II
The night grew wild, the
sky turned black,
But she held on, no step
went back.
Amidst the roar and
battle’s cry,
Our bond endured, it did
not die.
We ran through flame,
through icy breath,
Still bound by love,
defying death.
I swore I'd guard her
from the chill,
And shield her with my
burning will.
The lifeboats filled, yet
none for me,
I let her go, so she’d be
free.
We found a board to share
the dark,
I held her close she held
my spark.
She cried, "Please
stay, don’t slip away,"
But fate had claimed the
break of day.
Canto III
She lived, though
something stayed behind,
A voice that echoed in
her mind.
The world moved on, but
not her soul-
It kept me whole it made
her whole.
Each wrinkle wore my
softest sigh,
Each dawn recalled our
last goodbye.
She danced through life
but paused mid-tune,
Still hearing me beneath
the moon.
She whispered to the
ocean deep,
“My love still walks
within my sleep.”
Though time may fade what
hands once knew,
The heart remembers what
was true.
At ninety-eight, she
closed her eyes,
And found me past the
silver skies.
