One-Sided Love - III

Canto I
I love in silence, I love in deep,A hidden fire I always keep.
She does not know, she cannot see,
How much her world has changed in me.
Her smile is light, her voice is song,
It gives me strength to walk along.
Though she may never understand,
Her shadow stays, it holds my hand.
I walk alone, yet still I find,
Her gentle face is in my mind.
Canto II
I change myself because of her,I try to look more clean, more fair.
My careless ways are gone one day,
Her thought has taught a better way.
Each dream I dream is built with care,
Her image shines in every prayer.
I see her walk, I hear her tone,
And feel she makes my heart her own.
Though far away, I know she’s near,
Her presence makes my sky so clear.
Canto III
Without her face, the hours are long,The day feels cold, the night feels wrong.
But when she smiles, the pain is gone,
Her eyes can make a brighter dawn.
I want to speak, I want to try,
But fear is stronger, so I sigh.
What if she leaves, what if she breaks,
The love my silent spirit makes?
So in my heart I hide the flame,
I love her true, without her name.
Canto IV
A thousand times I softly say,“I love you” in a secret way.
But when she stands so close to me,
My lips are locked, they cannot free.
The fear is strong, it holds me still,
I guard the words against my will.
For if I speak, she may not stay,
And all my dreams may fade away.
So silence keeps my truth inside,
Though love is clear I cannot hide.
Canto V
Love is not made to take or own,It lives to give, it stands alone.
It asks for nothing, makes no claim,
Yet still it burns a steady flame.
I give my heart without demand,
Though she may never take my hand.
Her world may move, her skies may fall,
But still my love will give her all.
Forever true, my vow will be,
To love her pure, eternally.
Canto VI
Her laughter sounds like summer rain,It washes out my hidden pain.
Her gentle step, her simple grace,
Brings light and joy to every place.
I write her name inside the sky,
Her picture never leaves my eye.
I see her once, my soul is blessed,
Though she may never call me “best.”
A star that shines for all to see,
Yet shines the brightest just for me.
Canto VII
The world is loud, the crowd is wide,Yet I still see her by my side.
Her kindness warms the darkest day,
Her silence guides me on my way.
I stand apart, I walk alone,
But in my heart her light has grown.
I chase her steps, I hear her song,
She gives me hope to still be strong.
Her unseen hand still lifts me high,
A secret gift that does not die.
Canto VIII
What is this love? A prayer, a dream,A river born from gentle stream.
It makes me rise, it makes me new,
It paints my empty world with hue.
Each morning breaks with thoughts of her,
Each evening glows when I prefer.
Though never mine, though never near,
I keep her spirit always dear.
The stars above may fall away,
But still my love will always stay.
Canto IX
The fear of loss is hard to bear,It shakes my nights, it fills my air.
What if one day she goes from me,
And I am lost in misery?
Yet still I hold, through joy and pain,
Through summer sun and winter rain.
For love is strong, it does not die,
It lives in heart, it learns to fly.
And even if she never knows,
My one true love forever grows.
Canto X
Unspoken prayers rise day by day,They walk with me along the way.
The world may change, the skies may fall,
But still her name I softly call.
No eyes may see, no hands may find,
But she still lives inside my mind.
Love unreturned is love still true,
It shines without demanding due.
For in her shadow I belong,
She is my silence, she my song.
Canto XI
If I could touch her gentle hand,I’d walk with her through sea and land.
If I could speak, she’d hear my voice,
But fear has left me with no choice.
So I will love in quiet ways,
Through lonely nights and hidden days.
Though never mine, I still will stay,
Beside her heart in silent way.
My vow is set, my love is clear,
Forever hers, forever near.
Canto XII
And when my life has reached the end,I’ll love her still, my dearest friend.
Though she may never hear my name,
My soul will guard this steady flame.
I’ll leave the world with gentle pride,
For love was true, though not replied.
To love so much, and not be seen,
Is still to live a life serene.
For I can say with final breath,
I loved her truly, till my death.
